Morning and evening walk.

I have been so tired lately and not doing a lot. John draggd me out twice yesterday which was a good thing. I shopped for a couple of cool tops this morning, felt confused, I shop so raley for clothes but with all the sales on I thought I needed a couple of tops, something cool for the funeral on Friday which will be a 40 degree day, phew I dont like the heat anymore and nor do my feet, they swell. Any way, there were sheep close to the path in the paddock so I thought a photo of them wouldnt go astray. I am glad that we live down here, not Adelaide as it has been in the high 30's heading for 40 for a couple of days. No rain for weeks either. I am glad I am not on the farm and watching things dry out, I will be glad when we get to April, hopefully cooler and wetter by then, but if other years are to go by no guarantee.

A walk on the cliffs.

The sand has almost all gone from Petrel's Cove, it is interesting how some years it comes and goes and others there is very little movement. This morning we went over to Goolwa to see a couple of exhibitions, nice to get out and about a bit. We are heating up, looks like a week of fairly hot weather, not so bad here on the whole but not nice in Adelaide. So dry too which is a worry.

Beach walks

Feeling rather mortal today, one of John's fishing team died last night, we new it was going to happen, but not quite so suddenly. Another close friend came for lunch, she had just been to a funeral and a frfiend rang this morning to tell of two more who were no longer with us. I suppose it is an age but it can be terribly depressing. Lunch with R was lovely and broke up our day and I have been out watering my front plants. Looks like a week of very hot weather ahead of us. The loast week or so has been so mild and pleasant. My shingles ache is still happening too, very tiring. Better go and make a salad for dinner.

Walks over the last day or so

At the moment it is relatively cool, but it will start to heat up at the end of the week. We have walked here at the bay and over at Pt Elliot where this eucalypt was flowering. I am still getting very tired but managing better than I was although I still have some difficult days. Loving being able to get back on a beach.

Yesterday and today.

I seem to have good days and bad, yesterday I did more than I have done for ages, today I have not felt up to much. Yesterday we went over to Yankalilla and called into their very nice little museum, these are the interiors that they have set up. I remember rooms very like those in the first photo. Today we went just to look at the sea and we havent been here, at the mouth of the Hindmarsh river for ages, so a few photos but not exactly what you would call a walk. No tuna boats in today. I seem to have slept a lot. The weather is heating up. Sick of not feeling 100%

Pretty wild seas yesterday

We were nearly blown off the cliffs yesterday when we walked. Lots of froth along the base of the cliffs. Today, no photo we went over to Yankalilla to see if we could pin point my great aunt and uncles grave. We found the spot and with any luck will get it marked. We also called into the local museum, which is really well done, to see if there was anything on them in there, I remember a photo of Uncles team, he was one of the local carriage owners but not much there. I really dont even know if I was told when they had died. I do know that the little cedar chiffonier was theirs. It is terrible that we only started looking so late.

Various walks over the last few days.

apart from yesterday we have had a few walks, not very far as I still cant manage it but they have been lovely and relatively cool. I am a bit tired after all of yesterdays excitement but have just finished getting a doll together, I think I made a mistake and I just hope she will stand for me. I really dont feel like going back and trying to get it right. My camera is playing up again too. I think it might have some sand in it so I had better have a play with that.
