Good days and bad days.

I have been slowly hand stitching this rather nice little needle case designed by Ann Wood Handmade. It is free. I had a lovely time finding bits of fabric for it. Yesterday the temperature went up to 46 degrees. Terribly, terribly hot. We broke records all over the State. Today it is cooler but my body is very uncomfortable and I feel so tired. A reaction I suppose. My poor garden is a mess crispy fried looking blossoms. I hope they recover but oh we need a good rain. Nothing to speak of for weeks. I feel tired, worn out and frustrated. Maybe I will make another little needle book.

A bit of sketching

Not a lot I can do, I have good days and bad days it is also hot outside and my body doesn't like the heat. I read., I sleep, I do a bit of simple stitching and I sketch. Just a few minutes each day to keep my eye in. I don't sketch terribly well but it is another thing to keep me occupied. Thank goodness I have plenty of shells to sketch. I am missing my beach walks.

Shingles

Is it any wonder I haven't felt well. I have finally been diagnosed with shingles as the rash finally came out on Friday and luckily I had an appointment in the treatment room at the Dr's surgery and my gp was on duty. They hope they caught it in time for the antiviral tablets but I am still on strong pain killers, etc, etc and hurt and seem to sleep a lot. Now poor John who has been looking after me has a cold. Neither of us are enjoying life at the moment. No one seems to know how long I will feel like this. I suppose I am getting a lot of rest but also feel I am wasting time as I can't concentrate one anything for very long. I keep telling myself it is a matter of mind over matter. I hope to be back soon when I am feeling better.

Not feeling brilliant

The last few days have not been the best. Pulled muscle, I think, in my back, itchy rash on going. Nothing helping the back but the cream for the rash is helping. What to do? Silly mark making to keep ones brain active. She looks quite odd but did fill in a hour or so. Apart from that? Water the front garden, fill the dishwasher, yesterday all the Christmas decorations came down. Twelfth night and all that. Tried to go for a walk but driving to get to the beach turned out to NOT be a good idea. I suppose I will get back to normal eventually.

I have been sewing

I have been doing a bit of sewing, loving the little broached I found in Cloth paper scissors, a few more eventually will be made. I covered my diary too, an old tray cover I think. I did have to unpick the ribbon, which meant a long search for an unpicker, what would we do without them. The rose is I think Abraham Derby, so much delight in picking my own. We did dig up what was supposed to be Just Joey as it is not doing well and put it in a pot to see if it will come good. I am pretty sure it is not true to label either. Should have got it from the local nursery, as I did the others and not Bunnings. Feeling a bit off so not doing a lot todayl

This is what I looked like walking this morning

A lovely day, we walked twice. This old woman in a hat is what I look like when walking. Just to let you know.
