A little bit of sewing

One of Ann Wood's little trees, something to keep me busy while it is so hot. I need to find a base for it as I can't find anything at the moment. Have to start doing something for Christmas.

An afternoon walk

Normally we walk in the morning but this morning it was shopping and I felt awful, faint and horrid again and John had to come and rescue me. I will be glad when I am over this. Any way it was nice to get a bit of a sea breeze as it has been very hot and muggy. Not bad this morning but as the day went on it got hotter and hotter. I dont really like air conditioners but may have to work this out, there are fans but its working out how the house faces and what is the best way to do things. Slowly getting there.

The tree over the road.

It is warming up, I really don't like the heat. My friend W took me out to lunch today to great place in Goolwa, so nice to be out and about but now I feel so tired. Old age or still getting over the virus I had. I need to go over to see if I can find stuff that I can't find here in the container over at Tab's. It is her 50th birthday today. Hard to believe it was that long ago that I had her. I really like this tree, such a lovely shape.

Found!

I hadn't lost Robyn Gordons wonderful wooden plaque, made for me a couple of years ago but it has taken until today before I worked out which box it was in. Now on a wall, I think it might be a bit crooked. Today we were connected to the NBN, so hopefully faster and reliable Internet. It has been rather hit and miss since we moved. I think I have been a bit depressed, moving from my house of 58 years, and this is not my house, I have to move on. I did make a batch of biscuits and a heap of ironing. John seemed to fight with Centre link for most of the day. What fun.

Finally a walk

I am still feeling a bit wizzy, too long and of course my computer has suddenly become John's computer so things are not as they should be. Any way after over a week of trying to sort things out and feeling decidedly unwell we did get out for a walk this morning on the beach. Very low tide and almost no sea weed, so different from our last walk. I didnt manage to get to our All Welsh Show yesterday, a 4 hour round trip is just too much and John had gone fishing. He needed the break and they did come home with a good number of fish. The first time I have not been to the show in all the years it has been running. So how did we do? Sarah took a section A mare and foal, Supreme Section A and then Supreme of Show Woo hoo!! Tab took a Section D Cob mare and foal. Supreme Section D. So thrilled as it is many years since a locally bred pony has done that. The interstaters tend to come over and take the honours. So thrilled for both the girls and for the Stud I founded. So much going on this year with the farm sold, our move, Sarah and her family moving and Tab run off her feet trying to get us moved with me being so sick in the middle of it all. The internet is a bit slow here at the moment, supposed to be being connected to NBN but that is taking time. Still trying to sort out "stuff" but hope we get back to some form or normal soon.

The garden room

Very slow Internet. Hope I don't drop out. Yesterday Tabby came over and set up the outside room, all boxes gone and today Sarah came with a bucket full of flowers from my garden, such lovely girls. But, I am still unpacking.

Had to decorate a couple of areas.

So much still to do, but I had to play with the statue from John's family home, clock and a flower in a corner and at the entrance the Korean chest the painting of the girls and my drums, the Japanese mahjong box and my little New Zealand goddess. My little arrangements do make it feel a tiny bit like home. I have got a lot done, but so much more to do. Have a horrible feeling I am having a sinus problem, I presume my immune system is playing up, I hope not.
