At fibre arts in Ballarat.

I am still doing my daily stitch and the second photo is a sneak part peak of what I am doing in Anne Kelly's class here in Ballarat. I am having a lot of fun with it but falling into bed terribly early and today has been wet wild and windy. My umbrella may never be the same again.

Yesterdays low tide walk and part of the stuff I have packed to take to Ballarat.

I will be away from early tomorrow morrow morning until Thursday evening. Class at Ballarat with Anne Kelly. I seem to always take so much stuff. Hope I survive, my back has not been good all week. The weather is quite warm now but the forcast is for much cooler over the week end, so more clothes to cope with everything. Always look forward to it but suspect this will be my last year. I am taking the tablet so hope to find time to report in.

Here is my memory pod.

I made this in a three day class with the lovely American artist Sandy Webster over at Goolwa, about 40 minutes from home. I have to say I am totally exhausted but it was with a lovely group of people in a beautiful setting. It is always a pleasure to go there.Inside my pod are a scroll of fabric with memories on it. I will undo that when I am not so tired, a small stab bound book, the cover I rusted in the Grampian and another concertina book with old stamps from my collection, all with meanings, a roll of shifu I had made. The pod itself looks rather like one of the river Murray tortoise shells. A wire for first covered in tissue from a dress making pattern and then in tea bags, dried and opened and then glued on top. I have covered that with a light coating of beeswax furniture polish. A bit more to do, but I am pleased with it. Now for dinner and bed before the next adventure at the end of the week.

Another 15x15

I have done another 15x15 cm for Ballarat. Shopping this morning and getting ready for tomorrow. I will see how I go with posting for the next few days. I think I will probably be too tired but then again maybe not. Off to pack the car.

Very stirred sea this morning

we walked the cliffs this morning, quite cold and windy and the sea was certainly stirred up. One of those days where I spent a lot of time cleaning the house. Such a boring job. My back doesnt really like it either. Getting ready to do my 3 day class with Sandy Webster on Saturday.Looking for ward to it.
