Bits and pieces
My new diary cover,I always make a new one every year.Just back from a lovely drive to Parsons Beach, cold and windy but so nice to have this not faraway from home. These shrubs on top of the cliff were such a lovely contrast of colours. I am doing, or trying to do a sketch a day for January, this is one of them. I have started a bit of knitting, a little fair isle boot for next year's tree. I used to do fair isle years ago but not for years. I will see how I go.

Not the best
I hope that 2021 is better than 2020. I feel as if we have just marked time for most of it, friends have died and we have not been aable to comfort those left behind. I haven't grocery shopped for months, thank goodness for deliveries. I haven't seen the Melbourne family for over a year. My new medication is not agreeing with me. But, I can most days walk on he beach and I can be driven around our lovely area. Summer is here with dried brown grasses but thank goodness the temperatures have been cool and pleasant.I have made my vessel using the materials I painted in Lorna cranes on line class, I had to think about it for a while but now it is done and I am quite pleased with it. Now to stop feeling feeling a bit ill.

Along the coast, close to home.
The last few days seem to have been a blurr. Johns birthday, 83 how have we got so old! A doctors appointment for both of us, not happy about mine, more changes to my diabetic medication and a nasty scheduled to be cut off. Sometimes I think I would like to stop all medication. We had a lovely lunch with friend R. Very few Christmas cards, probably because we want from the box umber to the street address, we did etll people but did we tell those who send cards? I am afraid I don't send cards but I do make them for friends a d family, I give them. Yesterday afternoon we want for a drive and I took these photos. The town is filling up as covid is making people stay closer to home. Holiday houses at the bay are opening up earlier and the boat ramps are full. I have made the 5th Xmas cake, and 4 trays of biscuits. Decided to make a couple more angels. The weather has been lovely, cool and mild with cloudy skies

Hot and muggy day
We walked this morning on the beach and I spent a lot of the time hand sewing. Then this afternoon we drove out to the Kings Beach car park, the crop next to it has just been reaped, interesting clouds. Love taking photos.

Busy day
Another cake made, foot the optional nuts but it looks ok, ours I think. Then on to making Christmas cards. I had some blank ones and as I have quite a bit of painted paper left over from my online class with Lorna Crane I made a simple tree template and had fun. Love how it turned out. A walk this morning and now I feel quite tired. Still no decorations up.perhaps tomorrow.

Making cakes and wild seas.
We have had a couple of wild days. Yesterday close to home and today at Pt elliot. This is my 2nd Christmas cake, 3 more to go, or maybe 4, not sure. Some parcels sent off today as well. I am not as organised as I would like to be.I do find it all rather tiring and my back is still not liking me. Lovely cool weather at the moment but getting nto I the high to mid 30s by the end of the week. Not nice.
