Old Bartholomew the shearing shed rat.

Oh what a tale he has to tell, he is so old he can remember when the shearing shed shore sheep and the old shepherd Andrew made cakes in a large roasting pan for the shearer those crumbs were very tasty. Oh that was such a long time ago. Now the shed is used by the young ones for parties. So many generations have come and gone but the old shed is still held by the family and generations of rats have been born and raised too, but Old Bartholomew is getting forgetful and tired and likes his hot water bottle. One day he will be gone but there are still youngsters who may remember his tales. Thanks Jill Maas for this wonderful pattern.
