dead fish!

Walking the beach has not been very pleasant lately. With the amount of fresh water coming from the river Murray floods every so often large numbers of dead carp have been washed up ont o the beaches. The trouble is it is hard to know exactly when as it depends on the wind and the tide. Unfortunately with the sudden burst of 40 degree heat it is not pleasant. Today we walked on the cliffs, very early as it has been very hot. I am still stitching my comfort blanket ( better known as my shroud!) I could well be stitching it for months as I am very slow. We did a lot Ely drive over to Parsons beach a few days ago. Always spectacular. I can no longer walk down sadly.

Yesterday, a granddaughters wedding

It was a beautiful day held on the property at Hope Forrest. The setting was down by the dam. Kangaroos ducks and wedge tail eagles as well a bright throng were in attendance. Baby Hugh was there as well. I managed the ceremony and part of the reception but faded and we went home early. I can't cope with such exciting days any more. Enough to say the weather couldn't have been better and it was such a happy time. I find I don't see as much of the family as we once did, probably our fault as we both get very tired. If only one could go back and enjoy it once more. Today we are recovering!
