Been playing again.
While looking for books, I didn't find what I was looking for, I found Art doll adventures by Lisa Hertz. I have always loved her primitive dolls and decided to have a play with this head. I managed to find some scraps of African style fabrics so this head was born. I am now tempted to make a full sized doll but for the moment perhaps another head. We will see. Very windy today and much cooler thank goodness. Problem is I pulled my shoulder out this morning, always makes me feel sick and tired, I hope we can walk this afternoon. The weather change also makes me feel tired. Sick of feeling old. AND tomorrow we go to Adelaide, always tiring. Hair cuts, solicitor, and see my sister and friend P. A busy month ahead, a wedding (granddaughter) visitors and a short trip away. Now to survive it all.

Flowers and birds from this morning.
Had a great walk this morning, the blue heron was fishing in the rock pools as the tide was really low. I have trouble sometimes seeing what I have taken but there he is. On the way back to the car the gum tree by the way to the beach is just starting to flower. I have no idea what the tree is but it has the best great big fat buds and creamy white flowers. The bees love it and so do the lorikeets. Had a bit of an off day, bad nights sleep and an upset tummy but I did manage to have a couple of short naps, not what I was intending today, but they helped me get the washing done. Hotter tomorrow so I think an early walk.

Such a lovely morning
Over to friends who have an enclosed orchard on their farm to pick fruit, plums and peaches but a few other bits and pieces as well They have some lovely plantings ans this banksia caught my eye as well as a few views. Morning tea after a damp hour or so collecting fruit. Such a delight to go back on a farm, missing it. Now to start processing a few of the damaged fruit, lots of breakfasts coming up. Lovely.

Parsons Beach and Waitpinga this morning.
It rained for most of the night, still not a lot but more than we have had. It was a dreadful night, hot and muggy but much cooler this morning with very low cloud. I have been wanting to go over to Parsons for a while, the track down to the beach is a bit much for me these days but I can enjoy it from the look out. A low tide and a bit drizzly. A short walk in the low scrub which was smelling delicious after the rain and then over to look at Waitpinga. Another steep track down but quite a few surfers on this side. Over this afternoon to collect eggs from my daughter. Came home with an aching shoulder, it really is such a pain I dont drive as much as I should. Going through books at the moment, not really the ones I want either.

Morning walk, fabulous clouds
A lovely walk but it turned into a very hot, humid and uncomfortable day. We walked early and there was a nice breeze. I love the clouds that we see. The trouble is in this weather my feet and ankles swell and for the rest of the day I really dont do much. I am looking forward to the cooler weather. I think we are all getting a bit fed up with it all being so dry. I think I am also getting a bit fed up with journalists and politicians. I wont rant any more but honestly sometimes I wonder who we are being governed by.

Great morning walk

John went fishing.
John went fishing today and came home with fish for us and George. He did drop me very early at the market and got me home so he could arrive in time to catch the boat. I potted up a few plants, turned on my water feature and got stuck I to my duck. Still a long way to go. I am finding that my pedometer is clocking up over 10,000 steps easily, I thought I did too much sitting but it seems to be reasonably accurate. It was a glorious morning this morning, at least I was at the market at the best time.

Morning walk
My computer is being unbelievably slow, driving me nuts. Of course now its not just my computer as John is using it too. I tend to use the tablet but cant get photos from my camera to the tablet. We had a lovely cool walk this morning after a bit of early rain. I had an appointment with the podiatrist this morning too. Lovely to have my feet done. fSpent too much time trying to get this up so I am now off to make a second duck foot.

Is he a skier or a board rider?
I love this little bear but he can't make up his mind which ski discipline he would prefer. The fabric was awful as it shredded. I have another on the way but MUST finish my duck.I moved my little girl this morning too. I like this arrangement better. This mornings shop was fraught. My Woolworth is having a make over. I came out with a roaring head ace and really frustrated. Nothing even in remotely sensible areas. I suppose when it's done it might be better but in the meantime, I walked twice as far trying to find things. I'm turning into a grumpy old woman.

Moving pots again.
I went over to Tabs to collect a few more pots and my little girl statue. Only a few more she says. Well John bought me a pun net of petunias for mothers day and I needed another pot to put them in. I am also struggling with this little bear, no ears or nose on yet. Very sweet but the fabric was impossible, which is a shame as I searched every where for it and was so pleased when I finally found it. Thank goodness the shed next door seems to be finished, construction seemed to go on for a very long time and was very noisy. It is also a bit cooler with a pleasant breeze.
