A drive up one of the valleys back roads
It has rained off and on all day, wet and cold for the start of spring. I had gone into the market but it was pouring so no walk. Instead this afternoon we drove up one of the back roads on the other side of the valley. Photos looking across to our place, trees and blackboys on the side of the road and home to Mr Peacock and his mate and offspring. Nice to get out as although I made biscuits and did a few odds and ends not a lot was really done today. We did plant between showers some plants in pots by the clothes line, a sheltered bit of ground for rosemary and sage and a few other odds and ends, now to keep them watered through the dry time. Off to get a rolled pork roast on for dinner and to have sandwiches for next week, beef has got so expensive that pork is the most reasonable roast to do at the moment, even though lamb is actually my favorite.

Looks like a nice drive and wonderful to see the peacocks.
Lovely drive! Having so many trees hemming me in at this time of the year, I dearly love driving through valleys where there is distance and space.
