Walking Fitzroy
Love the old buildings and the tops that were put on them, I have no idea what these buildings were originally but they certainly were worth photographing.
Trams and tram lines and graffiti.
The flowers and the people, the inside door of the lovely french restaurant Madame Sou Sou where we had coffee and a late breakfast, it is such a fun place to go to.
Finally a terrace with magnolias out in full flower.
What a delightful city to wander in if it is not raining or too hot, but then that applies any where.
There is a very eclectic mix around here, odd ethnic deli's, pubs on corners, good food shops and not so good, great and not so great fashion and everything in between and like us you can be asked for money by a couple working one of the corners, twice!
Click on the photos to enlarge them.
My quotation for tonight is by Ralph Waldo Emerson
"Shallow men believe in luck.
Strong men believe in cause and effect."

Hi Penny...
I always click on photos, hoping they will enlarge...Each of yours contain beauty of some sort...I especially liked the masonry of the buildings and the woodwork in the restaurant.
Smiles to you,
Wanda
I was there a couple of weeks back, and probably photographed the same buildings! lol. The streets have beautiful magnolias flowering, a few weeks ahead of us in New Zealand.
Cynthia
I'm like you I love seeing the older building. I just came back from holiday out in British Columbia and saw the Empress Hotel in Victoria, quite impressive.
