A slate roof and garden plants
I am absolutely pooped.
It was an Adelaide trip today and hair cuts and going to see my mother sooo...
I am not one to sit and look at myself in the mirror for 3/4 of an hour but on hair cut days that is what happens, and I see all the lines and wrinkles and jowls I dont want to know about. I left John to do the same thing and raced up in the dirty red ute, not so sexy when it is dirty, to get flowers and on to see my mother. She was in a wheel chair this time, so has not progressed and was asleep for most of my visit so I chatted to the other women, well one as every one else seemed to be asleep.
I was there for an hour very dispiriting.
On our way home we were going to have take away but in digging up the road for the desalination pipe the power was out so we went on to Willunga which is well known for its very old slate quarry, and had a light lunch,( but twice as expensive as take away!) and looking over the road from where we had lunch was this small piece of slate roof on an old but sort of made over cottage. The other half of the roof was corrugated iron but I loved the pattern that had been made of the slates on this roof.
Home and the yellow daisy is out and looking cheerful and this bromeliad has put out a lovely deep red rosette.
The dogs are fed and I need to get some cheese sauce to put over the cauliflower made bu here is tonight's quote, it is by Karen Kaiser Clark, who it says is an American legislator and feminist. Make of it what you will.
"Life is change.
Growth is optional.
Choose wisely."

Aren't mirrors awful...especially in a department store with their harsh lighting.
Oh dear, you are having a rough time, but you are such a conscientous daughter. I only visited my Mum about every two months because we were 4 to 5 hours away. Anyway, take good care of yourself.
