Some textile stuff and other things
I had such an unsettled day and night yesterday with cyclone Yasi bearing down on Queensland, it was almost as if it was coming to get me!
so I have been fiddling around the house today, cleaning and generally trying to get a few things under way.
We did walk yesterday morning and this was the sky, it has been overcast and humid here after the heat of a few days ago.
I came home and decided that this arrangement of bits and pieces deserved another photo, trouble is I am still not getting colours right so all the celadon glazes look pretty washed out, there are shells and bones and rocks on this old dressing table in the sun room, and other bits and pieces and an old pickle (onion) jar. It might look better if you click on it.
Then the two little houses I finished the other day, not sure what I am going to do with them, they look so nice just clustered around the house.
Then little boat I am working on that I mentioned the other day, I am having fun with this.
Finally the woven heart that I have made to go onto a woven backing I am still playing with, this is what I am doing at the moment in Jude Hill's clothe whispering class.
I have no idea what I will do with all the bits I am making but it is such a lovely peaceful thing to do and now I want to get on with the hand sewing.
My daughter has just lost her gorgeous little Cairn Terrier bitch, not sure why, could have been a snake, just dead, and only 2 and the nicest, most cheerful little dog you could find. Needless to say she is terribly upset. So am I as she was always such a delightful little dog.

There's such a creative buzz over here, Penny. I always enjoy seeing what you are doing. Sorry to hear about your daughters dog. It is so upsetting to lose a beloved pet. I hope the cyclone avoids you. Keep safe!
The color of the glaze is beautiful, Penny...it says 'ocean breeze' to me! Love the heart!
