Sunny today
We had a lovely sunny walk along the cliffs this morning, you probably cant see him well but a Nankeen Kestrel was hovering, bit far for my small camera. A friend came to visit as well this afternoon. It was lovely, although with the nice bits, the sad, we had a prem foal this morning who didnt survive, the joys of breeding. I just wish I would stop aching, I had been doing so well and now suddenly I can hardly move, manage a walk, and they get shorter, and then fall in a heap. Age and stress I suppose.

Morning walks
We tried to walk along the beach but there was too much sea weed as we got around the corner ande no sand to walk on. I do find walking on uneven surfaces very difficult, so we went along to the cliffs and didnt have a terribly long walk but enough to make my knee hurt. Loved the clouds and on the whole it was a lovely sunny day, well some of it, it was overcast when we got home but the sun came out later thisw afternoon. In Adelaide yesterday, hair cuts and then seeing the lawyer and the finance fellow to check on the contract we will probably sign in a day or so, couple of things needed sorting out. So a long, tiring and stressful day. I had a sleep this afternoon, not something I do often. The mornings have been very cold, 0 degrees by the back door. Fish and chips and salad for dinner tonight. Makes up for a rather slothful day.

I have been playing.
This little rascal has been my saviour over the last day or so. One of the very talented NZ doll maker Jill Maas ittle fun doll. This is my first and there will be others. This really was just to see how she went. I had to fiddle with her legs as the first wire I used wasn't strong enough, but too strong for my arthritic hands so John twisted them and in doing so gave her rather big feet. Then I got glue on her dress, so found the fancy beaded flower. I added the ribbon and now I think she is finished. If I could judt find the calico I must have packed away there would be more on the way. Love them. We went in to walk the beach this morning very cold and although low tide a strong swell on the southerly. Glad to get home to a hot coffee.

One of those days.
Not the best but we are plodding on. My youngest daughter came over and she and her husband cleaned out some cupboards that I am very glad to see cleaned out. One more job done. We did go to the market this morning and then had a nice walk along the cliffs at Petrels Cove. Low tide and quite big seas. Not a lot of sun again today, and going to be cold and windy tomorrow. John was going fishing but I think they have decided not to go ahead with it. The doll I was playing with has had to have new legs and feet, the first lot didnt work but I think she is right now. I made ginger nuts this afternoon and am about to go and make meat balls in tomato sauce for dinner. Havent done them for ages because they are always a bit of a pain to make. Millie was pleased with the couple of boxes of ornaments I gave her, and a shadow box for her wall. I certainly dont need them. There is an awful lot of stuff in this house I am not going to need.

Battered cymbidium orchids
I found these rather battered cymbidium orchids out in one of the shade houses and rough them in under the verandah. A rather rude looking bromeliad about to flower, even if it is so cold, and this morning as it is daffodil day I bought a bunch of daffodils from the supermarket. I think a $ goes to cancer research. I have a few in the garden but couldn't resist a unchanged. Still cold and overcast but at least it is not raining.

Max, George and around the house.
I have not been feeling 100% for the last day or so. No walks as the weather has been foul and today didn't feel well enough s here are a few photos. Max taken a few days ago, George lazing a few minutes ago, my Christmas poinsettia still going strong and a metal fish I bought a few years ago, love his shape and colour. I begin to think this trying to sell and where we may or not live is getting to me. I think I just want to hide and never come out. Competing offers coming in, but are different and hard to evaluate.

around the Inman Raiver this morning
Freezing cold, overcast and grey and about 10 degrees C all day. Not a lot done, I have read and am packing boxes. Went in to get another one and there was only one left and no lid so took a smaller one. Last night we had a blackout for about 3 hours, cold roast beef and tomato with fresh horseradish sandwiches. Thank goodness I bought another expandable reading/sewing light that I can recharge and has a heap of small led lights. Much better than candles. I could read.

Clouds this morning
I seem to have a fascination with clouds at the moment, on the whole a lovely day but these huge and magnificent clouds seemed to be wherever I went. first in the town, I took this from the market and then as we walked the cliffs. Cool but not too cold. We have had so much rain it has been a relief to see some sun, although they tell me it will rain again tomorrow. Another box filled, but so much more to do.

Too much going on in my world.
Wet and cold, the garden looks pretty uninteresting although the Gymea lily has a wonderful shape. I feel tired all the time and a lot of things going on health wise with friends and families. Just want to curl up in a ball but as I bought more containers today suppose I had better go and attack another cupboard.

This morning, bit wild and windy
This morning we had a short walk on the beach, full of sea weed in odd places and lots of sea agulls. The Inman River was flowing out to sea strongly too. Cold but it didnt rain on us. There is more forcast for tonight. I am still packing things up and filling plastic containers too quickly. I csnt put soft dolls into cardboard. There are so many of them too. I think we sign a contract this week end to sell. No idea where we will be going. I lie awake at night and worry. Still mostly I am so tired I do fall asleep.

Peachicks and flowers in the garden.
Wet cold and Windy again today. Max and I walked around the paddocks as I thought S needed help getting a new foal in, glad I had a stick and was dressed for the weather as somehow I missed her and had a long, but quite enjoyable walk. There are a few more camellias out in the garden and early signs of spring as more blossom is braving the weather. A bit more packing up I will have no where to put the boxes soon. So many memories.

Today
A lovely sunny but windy day. Lovely and warm. We went to the poultry sale this morning, Tab had taken 60 odd poultry to sell, she has heritage birds. When we got there she didn't have much left but somehow Mille had conned her into buying her a x bred chicken, as if there were not enough at home! We went on to Goolwa to see a couple of SALA exhibitions and by then I was terribly tired and aching all over, so I have taken things a bit slowly, a bit more packing, the photo down the hall, would you believe it has so much gone from the walls. Another bit of my daily stitch it is coming along slowly (well it would, it is supposed to go for a year!) George was enjoying a bit of sun in the sitting room. I am still aching. Thank goodness John does Sunday night dinner, smoked salmon and tomato pasta.

Our Northern Victoria trip
Away for 3 days, 10 hour drive over and back, a day in the middle to rest and catch up with my lovely granddaughter Fenella who is a vet presently based in Mansfield. We stayed at Imperial Stud as we brought over 2 mares, one to go back to Mark and one to be picked up that we had sold, hairy as. We had a lovely lunch with Nell and saw where she is living, such a pretty area all around. I had a wander up the hill when we got home to say goodbye to my mares and took a few photos. Some spectacular skies. Mark is a brilliant cook and although he was busy and hardly home he looked after us so well. We sneaked off before he was up to go home yesterday, Not such a good or easy trip home as we caught the start of a change and were heading into the wind and then rain and it got so cold. We arrived home safely, but tired. these 10 hour trips, even with several stops are killing. I think it will take more than today to get over it. I have been shopping but maybe a nana nap this afternoon will be in order.
