Morning

This morning as we were about to go for our walk we met Marshall Sumner, one of our aboriginal elders gathering branches to use in a smoking ceremony to night. He is an interesting man, I have met rarely but seen often. He does a huge amount locally for the recognition of aboriginal ceremonies and he and John were discussing a local tree that needs to be saved, it has neither a shield or a canoe cut from it, possibly something to do with gathering turtle eggs and needs/ should be preserved for future generations, always unfortunately an expensive exercise. He is such a wonderful looking man I had to ask for a photo and the rest of our walk photos are a bit boring. We had a wonderful rain yesterday 5.6 mm so the window shot is taken to show that it had rained. we are greening up quite nicely but are due for a burst of hot weather later on in the week.

Not only is he a fine-looking man, Penny, but he also looks as though he is rightly proud of his origins.

I love your post with the wonderful looking and certainly very wise man. How nice of him to have allowed you to take a photo - it is a special favour.
