A bit of this and that this morning
On our walk this morning, looking towards the back of the beach, Norfolk Island Pines, a piece of pink sea weed drifting in the water. Flowers beside the steps up from the beach and pussy tails in the sand by the walk way. Trying to find something a bit different. I am still knitting madly, 2 legs now finished. 2 arms and a tail to do. Fertilised the outside front posts, feeling a bit virtuous!!

Todays walk
Why do I blog, mostly it is because I like to have a record of what I do. This morning it was overcast and there was a cool wind on the beach although the minute the sun came out it started to get warmer than I liked. Raced around as I was oping some one was coming to get the sofa bed, but it didnt happen, a not compliant trailer I believe. Will they still want it? goodness knows. I potted up a rose and did general house work and have been having a go at my knitted bear, he is not very big but a bit fiddly so I seem to get a body or a leg done a day. I certainly dont get as much done as I once did. I dont think we are doing a lot over Easter,I would imagine John will go fishing if others are available and there is a suitable day. The weather has been rather all over the place at the moment. I really do rather like the round rock pools in the reef, due to pebbles swirling around in them. Beautiful clouds and skies too lately.

Froth and bubble and clouds on our walk this morning.
I had a lovely day yesterday having lunch with friend W and seeing her newly renovated, lovely house. This morning we walked, a lot of wind yesterday and we took out a very welcome 7 mm of rain this morning. My stomach is misbehaving, I dont think it likes one of the pills I am taking so have had a quiet day today, washing, changing sheets and towels and a few naps in between. We did have a lovely walk this morning though and there were lovely clouds, lots of froth and waves and I even managed a not so bad photo of one of the grey raptors, a kestrel? not sure that were working the grass land behind the cliffs. I do wish my body would settle down, some times our half hour walks feel more like more as I struggle to get back to the car. So a bit of reading and a bit of knitting, I suppose its vaguely productive.

Lovely walk this morning
We have so many lovely coastal and beach walks, very lucky. It was going to be hot and windy so we were out early this morning and there was a nice breeze along the cliff walk from Kings beach car park towards Dep's beach.I do find my replaced knee gives me a few problems and I am not as fit as I should be but I do keep on walking, doing at least half an hour. I m knitting a bears head for the new great grand baby and this afternoon George pinched it and was throwing it around the floor, it was stuffed and nearly finished but it took me a while to work out what he had as he very sneakily pinched it off the table by my chair. It has got hot again, I really dont like hot or humid.

hazy morning on the beach
I seemed to do a lot today, and yet nothing. I did the shopping and after getting it all away we decided to go for a short walk n the beach, qite hazy and not clear. There was a lovely breeze so made for pleasant walking. Of course by the time I got home I was pretty tired. I have started knitting, a small bear who may turn into a rabbit, I will see how we go, havent knitted for ages. Made John his promised sea food salad for dinner, I think it ended up being bigger than I meant it to but we did manage to get through it. Off to have a rest.

The last few days
Some photos from the last few days, on the drive to the Grampians, some of the work I did in Hilary Petersons collograph printing class, plates and prints. A couple of trees full of large cockatoos, a windmill while waiting for the
Wellington ferry and this mornings walk along the base of the Bluff. I should have taken more photos but there were high winds and low cloud, my drive back through the mountains to Horsham was a bit nerve wracking, spectacular but I felt I shouldnt stop for photos, I was a bit worried about fallen trees and it is a very windy road and was quite early in the morning. I was very tired and as it was a 7 1/2 hour drive over and back and 2 full days of classes I was pretty tired by the time I got home.No unnecesary stops. Loved my class and my class mates were so nice and friendly. I hate to say it but I think this is my last interstate trip, I just find it too tiring and well I hate to admit it but I am getting older.

Morning walk, so much to see.
Busy busy, what have I forgotten to pack? I know it will all fit as it is only me, but oh dear I go to look at my list and find something else I have forgotten. Not just for the workshop but clothes, temperatures look all over the place, food, too much? too little. I try to take as much as I can as we really dont have much money. John is looking after things I will be back on Monday, never sure if I have internet while I am away. My kindle is loaded, not sure what else I will have time to do. Or how tired I will be.

Roses and around the back garden.
Not a lot has been happening since the wedding, recovery and washing etc. I am getting organised, I hope to go to Halls Gap for a weekend class with Hilary Peterson, and being a bit slow about it. John decided not to come but stay behind and look after Max and George. I would have liked to have him with me but know I will be OK, but tired it is a 6 hour drive. So around the place for photos today. The last of next doors lovely roses and a few views around the back of the house. I have been busy, did a shop and over to Tabs to get some paper for the workshop. I am sure I will forget something. Much more pleasant today, but will be warmer over the weekend I think.

Much cooler today
A lovely walk early this morning. We were a bit blocked in by the triathlon that was running all day in Victor but did manage to get to the cliffs for a walk. Not sure how well you can see the kestrel in the second photo. I think most of us have recovered today. Both John and I have been heard to mutter we must be getting old. although last night was awful, very hot and humid and nothing seemed to cool the place down, then suddenly we got a change of wind direction. So not really a lot done today apart from watering the pots and getting a casserole ready for dinner. One of my throw it all together ones so I hope it tastes ok.

Our grand daughters bush wedding
Such a lovely day today, although it was rather too hot. Our grand daughter Gabby married Wade, her long time sweet heart. Very much a family affair in the paddock down in the creek at her mother and step fathers property. I unfortunately hadnt been very well through the night but did make it to the ceremony and for a bit of food later but home as my oler sister and I had got over hot and needed the airconditioner. They all looked great, Gabby rode in on her horse with her father. The bridesmaids walked and it was all very colourful and they looked lovely. Both Gabby and Wade looked pretty pleased with themselves. Now I can relax. It is lovely having our son Simon here to stay with his wife Marguerite and to catch up with my nephew Ben. Just wish I felt better. My photos are not brilliant, John took some and the shade was rather awkward but it is a record for me.
