Journal pages
It is damp, there are showers going through. We have a house inspection on Friday so some deeper than usual cleaning going on. I am handstitching and doing some journal entries for the class I am doing with India Flint. Loving it, slow stitch, writing a bit silly drawings. It is colder, this is autumn, I love autumn. Oh and I left these pages on their side on purpose as I don't think you need to read my ramblings. I have tidied up the spare room, trouble is I tend to throw material etc on the bed, it is still on the bed but a bit tidier. I do miss the space I had in the farm house. My paints have had to go out under the roof by the back door. It is feeling out there.

All a bit disjointed
This sign is at the entrance to where we walk on the beach, it is also a small boat launching place. I think it is on all the boat launching sites. Walking has been difficult as low tide is very early and the banks of sea weed seem to be getting bigger. Oh for a good storm I think. I did love the way nature arranges vignettes better than I can. Last night was pasta night, well every Sunday is and John makes it. I am sorry the photo is a bit dark but the glove chili and long thin eggplants came out of the garden. I was given these eggplant seedlings and we really like them so I will try to get some next year. The globe chili we have grown from seed we have kept for the last couple of years. The back yard gravel is really quite productive. AI dont normally do photos of our food but as I had taken a photo of part of the ingredients here is one of the finished product, without parmesan. That photo was much to dark. I am not sure I am being terribly productive, I am now doing 2 online courses and other things that come to me but I seem to ache a lot, sleep a lot and read. as well as coming home so tired after our walks. I will get there, but a lot more slowly than I once did. After all I am 80 you know! Sounds like a pretty good excuse to me.
Thought I might add these, more backgrounds using my gelli plate, still not sure where these will lead me.

Painting backgrounds
I had a fun hour or so this afternoon. Not that my back liked it but using an old credit card and acrylic paint to make some background papers. A big excitement today was going to the podiatrist, seeing another person. Hilarious. We also had quite a long walk over at Pt Elliot this morning. All in all quite a nice day.

I am still here
I am having problems with a bad back and trying to walk is a huge effort. We did manage some of the beach this morning, there was a rather nice Pacific gull who wasnt at all frightened of us. The Sea weed has banked up but we could walk along it as the tide was reasonably low and there were no huge surges. I am trying to take photos for the on line course I am doing. I think I am too old for things like this as it uses so much new technology that I am not up with any more so I am struggling, but I will keep at it, just need to do it in small bits. Out to collect some mesh for John to climb his peas up and some lovely fresh meat from Tabby and John. We practised social distancing, just lovely to get out and see Millie as well. I am not coping with all this as well as I should. Tomorrow is another day.

More sketching
I am having problems with my back. A lot of aching so yesterday I played in my big sketchbook. Another 100 dots, this is so much fun as you never know what will appear. More architectural drawing and a bit of fun to finish it off. I don't think I slept well last night and even a lovely beach walk really didn't help. I have some sewing to do but at the moment think an escape in a book would be good. Missing people, especially family. We have a slot for Woolworth for next Wednesday. Trouble is I will run out of some things gs before then and we will have to try for another order soon. All a bit of a nightmare trying to keep up.

Bit cross
W3e walked latish tis afternoon, just down to the Inman River mouth to see if the river had broken through yet. It hadnt. There was a pelican, I love pelicans, and some flowering reeds. We had a piece of wire in a tyre in the car this morning so no walk this morning while all of that got fixed. J spent most of the day trying to get our Woolworths order sorted on line. No delivery time slot. So much for the special treatment we are supposed to get as our health problems and age really mean we shouldnt go shopping. I am starting to run out of food. Its nearly Easter and the usual influx of holiday makers are about even though they have been told to stay home. Grrr.

Walking this morning.
We walked between showers this morning. Finally cold too so rugged up, we are not used to that. Not a lot done today but we did collect a new iron, the old one refused to heat so some essentials were ironed. i think I need a pilots license for it. We are managing although sometimes there are a few terse words!

Playing with sketching
I have been having fun over the last few days doing some of the lessons on sketchbook revisited. A lot of these are not done with thereccomendedpaints, all of these were using pencils, (watercolour for the sun flower) pen and pencil for the others. Stopping me from going mad. I am also doing a textile challenge, not sure if I have time! There are lots more people out and about, school holidays, holiday house owners coming to work from home, down here. Sounds lovely but not so good for locals. Beach walks are difficult too as there is a lot of seaweed. We need a good storm.

Another lesson from sketchbook revival.
I rather liked doing this lesson. Not particularly good but fun to do. We have been walking, I got a wet foot from a wave that surged up higher than the rest. It started to rain this afternoon. We had about 9 mm by dinner time and has not stopped. Wo derful as March has been very dry. Lots more people walking and riding bikes than normal,we do live in interesting times.
