Good days and bad days.

I have been slowly hand stitching this rather nice little needle case designed by Ann Wood Handmade. It is free. I had a lovely time finding bits of fabric for it. Yesterday the temperature went up to 46 degrees. Terribly, terribly hot. We broke records all over the State. Today it is cooler but my body is very uncomfortable and I feel so tired. A reaction I suppose. My poor garden is a mess crispy fried looking blossoms. I hope they recover but oh we need a good rain. Nothing to speak of for weeks. I feel tired, worn out and frustrated. Maybe I will make another little needle book.

That is such a pretty needle case Penny, it is well worth making another one, something to tuck away into the drawer for when you suddenly need a gift to give away. Surely the heat will have to go away soon and you will get some rain. We could do with some more rain here too, everything is very dry again, but at least it is not crispy as our temps are just the usual 31 degrees we get in summer. Cheers

I think about how terribly uncomfortable you must be feeling with shingles and the very hot weather, and I do send you my sympathy, Penny. Lovely little needleworks.... Soldier on, - nothing lasts forever!

Thank you for leaving such a nice comment on my blog Penny. I hope shingles isn't being too painful. I had it a few years back and it's not good, is it!
I love your little stitched needlecase book and your sketches.
I really need to keep practising which is why I have found the book so helpful and encouraging. I must build up a bit of confidence.
I hope your weather will cool down soon and that you will feel more comfortable. Look after yourself.

Hi P - I think we are all suffering from the heat - just crazy temperatures and dry - very unusual for this time of the year. And crazy that up north there is just so much flooding and so little rain our way. Stay as cool as you can. Indoors doing small creative things is best. Go well and be well. B

I have heard how terribly warm it is in your country, - exactly the opposite to Canada right now, but here in B.C. on the West Coast it is a little more temperate. However, sometimes in our summer it can get terribly hot, and I feel for you! How are the shingles? And I love our needlecases!

Reading back to see if the stitches that bother you were in an earlier post?

I remember shingles. I had a few days, weeks, of pain (actually sharp moments of breathless agony) then discomfort.
