Another lovely morning walk

Very early it is beautiful and cool but later when the clouds have burnt off it is amazingly warm. Not a sign of the jellyfish in the water this morning and only a couple of dead ones on the beach. I guess that they all got washed out to a different beach. I spent the morning re arranging some pots out the front. I hope that they survive and dont get too burnt as they do get a lot of morning sun, but then that should be better than afternoon. I do need another hose as the one we have has to be moved from tap to other tap, only 2 taps! I am used to lots of taps. There is a photo on my facebook page, but I will try to take another on my camera and not on the tablet. I have done several washes, after all it is Monday, not that I ever stick to when I wash, just when I think things need doing. Today I received a lovely post card in the mail from Fiona ande Barry in Queensland, but when I tried to scan it something happened and it looked odd. Tomorrow I will take its photo, I love the type face that has been used. So lucky to have it I think. I have been silly, thought I could stop a bit of my pain killers, ok for a few days but not today, so back to not thinking I know best I think. My expensive little car is home too, we really didnt need to have to pay to fix it but then I also need my car and although she is getting rather elderly we cant do without her.

Around the garden.

The purple is some sort of wandering jew I think. My collection of pots and the flowering gum over the road. It should look spectacular in a week or so. We went to get more pots today, I think they may be the last as I can't cope with many more. Did pot up a few geraniums. I think they will cope reasonably well

Running stitch

I have started doing TAST (take a stitch Tuesday) again. The first stitch was running stitch, one of my favorite stitches, such a useful stitch. My photo doesn't really do it justice, it looks a bit washed out but in reality is much more Colourful. I am enjoying doing it in the heat. Another photo of the pots. We have been walking but at the moment most of my photos photos look the same.

Travel tag for UK.

I have finally got around to making a travel tag to go to Anne Kelly in the UK. Reminded me of my trip to Bali. I had a lovely class with Anne last year. The weather is heating up. Today was a bit of a slow day, shopping and then my injection. I feel a bit off after it so did some reading and a bit of embroidery for TAST running stitch. What fun you can have with this one of my favorite stitches.

Great walk to Dep's beach this morning.

I havent managed to get onto the beach for ages but this morning it was cool and my knee sort of held up. I am taking on a few embroidery things this year, but I am not sure if I will manage to keep going. A stitch a day 2018 and I am rejoining TAST (take a stit5ch Tuesday) I did this a few years ago I think when it first started but havent done it for a while. Thought it might keep me busy. We have just had to have a fortune spent on my car in repairs and as we still dont have the pension yet things are getting rather tight so I have a feeling that things I would normally be able to do, wont happen. Have to feel a bit positive. Of course I can only find one embroidery hoop, the one I used for last years stitch daily and cant find a small one, probably in the container, but where? It is heating up so not much fun out there looking for something in the heat. I have enjoyed the last few cool days.

covering my diary.

I always cover my diary, the first few photos are of my 2017 diary, they always fill up as I add bits and pieces to it. The last photo is my 2018 diary. Seemed to take me ages but I am now enjoying getting back to my sewing machine. A lovely walk at Pt Elliot this morning.

An eventful New Year

We have had incredible skies lately. A lovely walk on the beach this morning. We have both had a few small naps as last night we went to bed at about 9.30 and then woke to hear the fireworks at 12, they seemed to go on for ever but we couldnt be bothered getting up. At about 4 am I got up and suddenly found I had a very pleased Max (strictly outdoor dog) asleep by my bed, and George ( strictly indoor cat) no where to be found. At about 6 am I had sorted them out and they were where they should be, just as well George hadnt gone for good. We know that Max hates bangs but hoped he would be ok. So after a lovely walk this morning we have both done various bits of housework, vacuuming (John), ironing and washing (me) and a nice long nap seemed to be in order.
